Depending on the means of transportation on your way to the island, we’ve prepared information possibly helpful to you, especially if you chose Croatia and Rab as your vacation destination for the first time.
BY CAR
The most common road ways to the island of Rab are:
- through Slovenia: Ljubljana - Postojna (Pivka) - border crossing Rupa (Jelšane) - Rijeka - Senj - Jablanac - Mišnjak (Rab)
- through Italy: Trst - border crossing Kozina - Rijeka - Senj - Jablanac - Mišnjak (Rab)
- from Austria: Salzburg-Ljubljana-Rijeka-Rab
Graz-Maribor-Zagreb-Rab
- from Zagreb: Zagreb - Karlovac - Senj - Jablanac (highway Zagreb-Split, exit Žuta lokva -Senj - Jablanac).

When traveling by car, the island is approached by ferryboat.
BY BOAT AND FERRYBOAT
The island of Rab is connected to the coast through ferryboat lines:
- the main line Mišnjak (island Rab) line by Rapska plovidba and
i - Baška (island Krk) - Lopar (island Rab) by Split Tours.
Rab is connected to Rijeka by an everyday Jadrolinija's catamaran, traveling from and to Rijeka the same day.
BY PLANE
Many airline companies well-known world wide fly to Croatian airports, and our biggest air transport company is Croatia airlines. Some of them are "low cost" companies offering cheap transportation Germanwings, Easyjet, Hapag Lloyd express, Norwegian, Ryanair, Wizzair and there are also Lufthansa and Flyglobespan.
